About Jenny Upton

Jenny has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2008. She earned her BA in Psychology from Taylor University, spent a year of graduate school at Asbury Theological Seminary, and, after moving states, finished her MA in Counseling at Webster University. Jenny is also a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida. She is the Co-Founder and a Co-Director of both Eagle’s Wings Counseling Center and New Anchor Recovery.

Jenny is a CSAT therapist specializing in Betrayal Trauma and Sexual Addiction. Based on her work with betrayed spouses over the years, she co-authored a work entitled “Relational Trauma Response” identifying and describing the unique and specific symptoms of trauma sustained in relationship betrayals, developed an assessment to measure this, and created a treatment program based on this trauma model. She has helped hundreds of clients dealing with sexual addiction and/or affair recovery and is dedicated to bringing hope, freedom, and healing to those seeking help.

Jenny sees individual clients and couples, leads Betrayal Trauma groups for women, runs workshops on Betrayal Trauma Recovery for women and Empathy Training for men, and directs both the teams at Eagle’s Wings and New Anchor Recovery. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, and basically anything nature related. Her relationship with God is first and foremost in her life. Jenny is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, has been married for over 25 years, has 2 adult children (one married and one in college), and 2 Italian Greyhounds.
